MONA SWIMS is a luxury Irish resortwear brand defined by intricate printwork, expert craftsmanship and a distinctive dark, surreal aesthetic. Handmade in Ireland, the brand draws inspiration from MONA, a dark siren born from Irish folklore, reflecting its fascination with mystery, nature and the sea.
Founded by award-winning textile artist Carla Johnson, MONA SWIMS features entirely original prints designed in-house. Inspired by icy seas, rugged coastlines, desolate beaches and the intricate beauty of marine life—from the depths of the oceans to the rivers of the Amazon—these vivid, abstract designs capture shimmering scales, damp sands and iridescent flashes in a sophisticated, almost monochromatic palette.
