The MONA SWIMS collections have a unique sense of style and an enticingly dramatic atmosphere, creating MONA - a dark siren, born out of Irish folklore. All prints are designed in-house by the founder, Carla Johnson, an award winning Textile Artist.
The collections are influenced by a mysterious world – a land of icy seas, rough tides, desolate beaches and dramatic, rugged coastlines. They continue to be inspired by the intricate beauty of marine life from around the world, from the depths of the Oceans to the Amazonion Rivers, to inform vivid, abstract prints - shining fish scales, cool damp sands, iridescent flashes - all in an ultra-wearable, almost monochromatic colour palette.
